Project Description:

The project entailed the design and supply of a 100 meter conveyor and a 25 meter radial stacker. The conveyor is fed by four belt filters, the copper tailings are then transferred onto the slewable radial stacker where the material is stockpiled. The design capacity is 350 t/h with a belt width of 900mm. The belt filter conveyor consisted mainly of stringer modules and a head end structure. The material is transferred via a chute to the radial stacker. The radial stacker consists of a lattice type gantry structure with a fixed pivot at the tail and slewed on solid rubber tires.

WATERBERG COAL 450tpa COAL HANDLING AND PREPARATION PLANT PROJECT

Project Description:

The project included the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, supply, delivery and advisory services for erection and commissioning of a Rapid Train Loading System at the contractor plant. The Rapid Train Loading System was designed for a minimum of 25 years’ continuous operation with minimal maintenance in a tropic environment, capable of a loading continuity 130 wagon trains (93 tons each) at a rate of 5,780tph while the train is in motion.

ASA METALS EXPANSION PROJECT

The project entailed the design, supply and fabrication of the stockyard for the Jamba Mine materials handling stockyard. This consisted of 5 conveyors with a combined length of 690m, 2 slewing, luffing, rail mounted longitudinal travelling stackers at 600tph and 2 off 30t rail mounted longitudinal travelling mobile hoppers to accommodate reclaiming by front end loaders. Mobile hopper feeder capable of feeding at 1700tph. The existing load out station was also upgraded to accommodate the loading of 30 rail wagons per hour.

The project entailed the design, supply, manufacture, erection and commissioning of a rapid train load out station and feed conveyor, capable of loading at a nominal rate of 6000tph. The system also includes a facility, whereby the accuracy of wagon loading is monitored on a continuous basis.

IMPUMELELO OVERLAND CONVEYOR PROJECT

The project scope included the design, supply, erection and commissioning of the Impumelelo Mine Materials Handling System consisting of 7 Conveyors with a total approximate length of 30km. One of the conveyors is a single flight overland conveyor of 26,9km, which is one of the longest single flight conveyors in the world. Total power for the overland conveyor is approximately 5MW. The project also includes a 1500t underground bunker and two surface bunkers of 4000t and 15000t respectively.

BEIRA PORT SHIP LOADER PROJECT

Project Description: 

The scope of the project included the design, fabrication, supply, delivery to site, supervision of erecting and commissioning, training and documentation provision of 2 x 1200tph of coal Telescopic Tower Stack Ship Loaders on fixed rails.

The bogies had to be pushed back approximately 17m from the jetty edge due to the poor conditions of the jetty civils (normal distance from jetty is approximately 5m). This required a total boom length of 83m including a 21m telescopic boom extension to allow the two shiploaders to reach multiple holds in the vessel when slewing and loading.

Project Description:

This project entailed the design, supply, installation and commissioning of five complete rework stations. The design of the rework stations included for the newly designed feed and discharge system to eliminate the breaking of enzymatic capsules within the washing powder. The stations were fitted with rotary valves on both the inlet and discharge of the vacuum system. The discarded plastic bags were contained which helped in preventing the liberation of the enzymatic dust into the atmosphere.

This project entailed the design, supply, installation and commissioning of five complete rework stations. The design of the rework stations included for the newly designed feed and discharge system to eliminate the breaking of enzymatic capsules within the washing powder. The discarded plastic bags were contained which helped in preventing the liberation of the enzymatic dust into the atmosphere.

CONVEYOR MAINTENANCE FOR KENDAL POWER STATION

IMPUMELELO OVERLAND CONVEYOR PROJECT

The project scope included the design, supply, erection and commissioning of the Impumelelo Mine Materials Handling System consisting of 7 Conveyors with a total approximate length of 30km. One of the conveyors is a single flight overland conveyor of 26,9km, which is one of the longest single flight conveyors in the world. Total power for the overland conveyor is approximately 5MW. The project also includes a 1500t underground bunker and two surface bunkers of 4000t and 15000t respectively.

BEIRA PORT SHIP LOADER PROJECT

The scope of the project included the design, fabrication, supply, delivery to site, supervision of erecting and commissioning, training and documentation provision of 2 x 1200tph of coal Telescopic Tower Stack Ship Loaders on fixed rails.

The bogies had to be pushed back approximately 17m from the jetty edge due to the poor conditions of the jetty civils (normal distance from jetty is approximately 5m). This required a total boom length of 83m including a 21m telescopic boom extension to allow the two shiploaders to reach multiple holds in the vessel when slewing and loading.

INPLANT CONVEYORS AND TAILINGS TRIPPER AND SPREADER – VOORSPOED DIAMOND MINE
